Well, it was poorly advertised in the first place and a maximum of 100 people showed. Pretty tiny. Women's Match: One other girl in the whole thing, thank god she was advanced as well. We got out there, I jumped guard and swept her quickly, tried to work the darce choke from half guard as I passed. Passed, trapped the close arm. Threw my leg over for the triangle, finished it pretty quickly. Rolled to the bottom to finish though. Advanced Mens 1: Guy jumped guard on me, had me defending subs for a while. I suck at being in someone's guard if they're stronger than me. Used his attempt at a kimura sweep to trap a leg, took a few minutes to pass and finished there. Boring as shit, but I won. Advanced Mens 2: I'll admit this guy's abs intimidated me. Kept my head low shooting for a takedown and defended a guillotine for a while. Thankfully, Renato had me working this a lot last week. He shot on me, I tried to sprawl but his wrestling was better. He had one leg trapped, but I crawled to his back...ish and locked in the reverse triangle. Transitioned to omoplata then back to regular triangle and finished him. He was REALLY strong and fought it for a while, my muscles damn near gave out on me. Advanced Mens 3: Renato told me to jump guard immediately...I didn't. I was scared about losing a point since that starts immediately during the finals. I was scared, period. The guy was 160 and finished everyone else in about a two minutes total. The guy jumped guard and got a quick armbar on me. We spazzed simultaneously and my arm popped, fucking loud. All in all, first in women's adv, second men's adv. Now 43-2 women 9-8 men. Pics when I get them off the french guy's cam.
