just got the 3m rubbing compound fine cut. might use it soon but when i was reading the bottle it was reading the warnnings about using it. it says "crystalline silica generated during spurring of dry pads may cause silicosis and cancer" whats this spurring anyway? it says to use in a well ventilated area, does a garage count? this is all new to me, i never seen a car product that is so hazardous to your health.

The odds are pretty low one time use will cause any health problems, but if it makes you feel better, wear a mask over your mouth and nose.

That is when you use a tool to remove dirty layers of the foam pads while they are spinning.
