I wish I knew the OS better, I can do pretty much anything with XP and I really like XP.

I wish IBM or Dell would make a high end laptop that was 17" and brushed aluminum. :x:

Does anyone know of any companies that make a laptop as nice?

I know there was a thread earlier this week, but no one responded.

I know toshiba has one, but it is not nearly as nice. :wtc:

Virtual PC is ok as long as you have enough ram. i never had a problem with it. Just dont expect to do any high end applications with it. That being said, anything you would want to do with a PC in Virtual PC you can do with a mac.

OS X > Win XP. It's simply a better OS.

I still use a PC frequently though, but I love my 12" Powerbook.

Gutting a Powerbook and putting in PC stuff is like gutting an NSX and putting a 90 Ford Taurus engine. Macs are so much better... Gotta work with one to understand.

I just got to hold a 17" powerbook today, some kid at college had it (design college).

Awesome build quality and design, shame i dont like(read: hate) the OS :sad2:

I wish PC manufacturers made laptops that nice. I buy Sony, but they are still not as solid.

I hear ya LEGbEND, PC's are hard to let go... I still miss em sometimes. I can't mess up OSX, no matter how hard I try, and that's why I use it. I don't think people realize how solid it really is.

Just curious, how many people in this thread have actually USED a mac?

Running 10 things at once, photoshop filters and burning cds, the kinda shit that would give you the blue screen of death on a pc. I never fight with this computer, that's why I love it.

The company I work for makes Windows based trading platforms. I have to have XP to run these. Emulators do not work. Which is why I would not get the Mac. I love the way the look, speed,Etc. But my job makes me need a windows machine. Plus everyone I know has a PC. And the wireless networks around Chicago are all Windows based.
