Put on your glasses
Doesn't mean Hoss paid MSRP.
unfortunately, this time i did
I need a new monitor, too. 1280x1024 FTL.
I still think its a fucking awesome deal. I was originally planning to get the Knights Armament RAS, but it doesnt lock up as solidly as i would have liked. Then I heard about the Daniel Defense Omega Rail, which is pretty fucking awesome. The only downsides IMHO is that it gives a monolithic appearance (which I personally can't stand), and it's quite pricey.
The Troy MRF-DI does what the RAS an Omega Rail both do and for about half the cost.
btw, i asked DD at SHOT if they were planning to release a "gen 2" without the monolithic extension.
They said no
I like the monolithic look.
Where did you buy it from?
ETA: NVM I found it.
fuck dude, should have gotten the UTG. It's $60, and it locks on TIGHT.
why the hell are UTG products so cheap? Made overseas?
With firearms stuff, I try to stick with USA made products.
dunno. I bought it at a local shop.. And as far as my priorities lie, I'd rather support local stores over online... And yea I prefer USA over foreign, but it's not super-important.
Now you don't get the fun of taking the Delta ring off.. pussy.
i can't add a FF rail system anyway. I have a 14.5" barrel with welded 5C1
btw, i got it direct from troy
I like the Daniel Defense LITE system cuz it bolts up flush and makes a continuous top rail, but I dunno if that Troy system can be beat for the price.
UTG = Under the Gun = airsoft stuff.
Ballin on a budget
I have this monitor.
wow....you're really ricing out your AR
thats pretty cheap. why no free float?
another elitist prick. I looked the product over before purchasing it and it was a SOLID well-machined part. I couldn't find any difference between it and the Surefire RAS that I also own. I couldn't see the diffence between either of those and a YHM RAS that is well-regarded as a cost-effective mounting solution. Heck, the YHM compares as almost identical to rails 3x it's own cost.
It's a piece of aluminum... They cut it to spec. Unless they do a poor job machining it (they didn't) or they use shitty metal (as far as I can tell by beating on it, they didn't) then all you're doing is throwing money away on a "brand".
I am 100% happy with my UTG RAS.
It's one thing to pay more for better quality... but it's completely different to play the elitist brand-prick-game.
i saw a UTG airsoft gun for sale, but it had all real ar parts on. UTG rail, front and rear sites, etc. i have a utg grip it's solid
man i'm looking on Troy Ind's website and i'm fixing to bite the bullet on either the 13.5" or 10" MRF-RX. does anyone have either of these two rails and could possibly give me some feedback
not really. rice would be a FF rail with a surefire m900 (which i DONT plan on getting)
its a 14.5" barrel with welded 5C1
