Cops seize gun stash on 248th St.

Officers pulled dozens of heavy-duty firearms out of a New Hyde Park storage space rented by a Little Neck man after they spotted a loaded assault rifle in the man's den while checking out a report of a domestic dispute at his house, police from the 111th Precinct announced Tuesday night.

The man, identified by police as 67-year-old Robert Roma, was being held at the precinct Tuesday night pending arraignment on multiple counts of illegal weapons possession, police said.
Officers responding to a call of a domestic dispute at Roma's home at 45-45 248th St. in Little Neck around 10:10 p.m. Monday night found a fully loaded assault rifle in the den, according to Deputy Inspector Scott Hanover, the commander of the 111th Precinct.

They arrested Roma and after interviewing him learned of more weapons at a storage space in New Hyde Park, according to police. Armed with search warrants, cops found another 37 weapons Tuesday, including 21 assault rifles, 10 shotguns and six rifles, Hanover said. Police also executed a search warrant at Roma's home in Little Neck, where they found another assault weapon, knives and ammunition, the authorities said.
Hanover described the weapons as in "mint condition." Police said Roma had no prior criminal record.

A total of 39 guns were found. The artillery covered several tables at the 111th Precinct.
Hanover credited 111th Anti-Crime Unit Sgt. Kevin Zweigbaum, Field Intelligence Sgt. Anthony Speruta and Anti-Crime Officer Michael Grimm with the arrest.
The find came two weeks after Suffolk County investigators arrested a Bayside man on charges of illegal weapons possession linked to a case in Long Island. Prosecutors said that suspect, 56-year-old Gregory Brozski, kept more than 50 weapons in his Bayside home, including a grenade launcher. Brozski was arrested July 25 and pleaded not guilty in Suffolk district court.

:madfawk: So his only crime is owning a weapon that worthless liberal cunt NYC politicians deemed illegal.

man ney york gun laws suck.

It's sad to think that what can be illegal in one state isn't illegal in another.

In NY its not even other states, his illegal "assualt weapons" are probably a couple AR15's and maybe an AK, illegal in NYC but perfectly legally where I am. His storage unit is about 5 minutes down the road from me, I'm guessing he was storing most of his stuff there cause it would be legal to possess here in my county.

That's probably why he plead not guilty. Hopefully he gets a good lawyer and beats those mother fuckers.
