....your comment made me think of my ex. He came over last night after we both got off of work, and I cooked a very nice dinner while he read to me (I'm a lil domestic). Before he left, he made a comment that I'm a "closeted boy". He hypothesized that because I was raised by women (mother + lots of older sisters) that I have been socialized 'girl', or in the least 'perfect boyfriend'. I'm sooo totally housebroken that it makes no since. LOL, I live alone and I still make sure that my toilet seat is put back down. He was trying to get me to belch (I don't do public displays of flatulence)...:o

And the perfect close to a long, busy, and exhausting day...

"What better way to end a rough day," I said aloud to myself, "then to go hang out with the ignant and ghetto black queers that I've been missing!!" I then proceeded to call friends Ben, Em, Mya—who say they wanna see the new movie about the black airline. Ooooookay, so pulling out my Palm, I read off the show times for Soul Plane at Muvico24; 9:40 sounds good to everyone. Knowing that Taylor doesn't get much gay when he's home, I call him up, warning him that this wont be the uppity queers he's used to hangin out with me, buuut the black queers....ie somewhat ghetto and ignant. He came along.

Of course, since Taylor is the only person without the one drop of blood that makes him late to everything, he arrives first. Mind you, I told EVERYONE to meet at 9:15 for the 9:40 show JUST so that we can ensure ourselves tickets. At 9:30, Taylor is the ONLY person there and I'm 2 exists away. LOL He informs me that the show IS sold out, and so we get tickets for the next show, and go get drinks at some fake me out bistro. Even though we took precautions because Taylor isn't legal, not a single ID was checked and so all was well.

The movie: ridiculously poor acting, by ridiculously poor ‘actors’ & 'musicians' (both rather used loosely). whose ideas of comedy is glorifying and perpetuating racial stereotypes and negative social mores; I hated it. But ultimately I had a great time hanging out with my ignant friends and basking in the indulgently catchy 'ghetto' vibe.

    ...good times

Well, I used to be that person... These friends were all in their 2-3 years of college when I was a first year, and I bonded with them quickly, so they had to get me into the clubs, and bars, and all of that stuff, so I know how it is to feel the odd queer out.
