    does this happen to everyone else?

    with old cell phones i've used if someone sends me a text message that is more than 160 characters it will break up the incoming message to 2 messages. with the iphone it just cuts off the rest of the message and i dont ever get the last part of the message

    I don't think that's the iphone. I think that depends on your text message plan.

    I'm not sure why you're not getting it. My brother and I have iPhones and when we send each other long text messages, I think I usually get the entire thing. I don't recall ever getting anything cut off. It might be the other persons phone. I know some phones stop at the character limit, and they may have not finished the text or something

    I've got two phones. One on Verizon and my iPhone. I sent a text to my iPhone over the 160 character limit. When it got to my iphone, it only went the the 160th character. I got a text on my Verizon phone that said "Messages sent to non VZW customers with 160+ characters are sent as plain text with only the first 160 characters"

    nope.

    guess it would be a good idea to clear out all the messages once a week??

    slow = 10 ~ 15 seconds to open.

    Hmm, well I have Verizon (not an iphone obviously) and if I send a message over 160 characters to someone who isn't on Verizon, it cuts the message off at 160 characters.

    I just delete like half my messages, now it's much faster to load. :bigthumb:
