GUN texas handgun owners

Discussion in 'On Topic' started by Crave McSteak, Sep 19, 2008.

  1. So this is the final say? I can carry a loaded handgun in my armrest while in my car, be it travelling through out the state or driving to the grocery store as long as it is hidden?

handguns are evil, you should not own one

    (2) the person is:
    (A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a
Class C misdemeanor that is a violation of a law or ordinance

what good is a gun when you're getting held up outside your car?

  7. last time I checked, getting a CHL wasnt instant. So theres a good 2-3 month waiting period before I can legally carry.

That is true but hopefully you're planning on getting one.

There are lots of benefits to getting one, some quite obvious and some not as obvious. Not having to worry about legality of a gun in your car is a big plus, IMO.

That sucks. Mine took 2 months a year ago.

I've been thinking about getting a license to teach CHL classes. Now might be the best time with the massive growth in numbers and popularity. Hmmmm....

Umm that law already is inplace

Its also cool because work places cant ban you from carrying any weapons in your car. Well they could but you could sue them pretty easily over it

  18. I know it's in place.. was rather looking for clarification.

Like what constitutes "traveling" and if the gun can be loaded at the time.

You have to have it concealed in your car and not on you. Your pretty much allowed to take it too and from your car and leave in your car. People also think you cant have a gun in your car at school which is false
