What are the rules/laws about buying handguns in Texas? Can you buy more than one at a time ( i was thinking for some reason, no)...or after you buy one, how long before you can buy another? Does it matter the caliber?

There is an amount that could get a hold put on you, but I've never seen someone get one. How many are you looking at buying at once? AFAIK, there is no hold dependencies on caliber, or what type of gun. If you went in and bought a half dozen AR-15s at once, you would probably get a funny look, haha.

    I bought 2 AK47s on a Friday - a 9mm revolver on a Saturday and the next Saturday a 357 Mag.

How are you supposed to get matching cowboy action revolvers with sequential #'s if you wait 30 days in between?:noes:

    No limitations in TX.

Be forewarned that the ATF might take some interest in you if you...
    • Buy more than two of the same thing at once
    • Buying more firearms on one NICS form than it has spaces for (3, if I recall correctly)
    • Buy a crapload of firearms in a short period of time

This is pretty much correct. There is no state law on limitations of quantity. If you purchase 3 or more at once, the ATF may put your background check on hold for more scrutiny, but if you have a CHL you don't have to worry about that sicne you don't have to deal with the background check.

:mamoru::mamoru::mamoru::mamoru: I hate those laws. Apparently I'm classified as a "distributor of of moral degradation" (10 or more "sex" toys) This law A) is not enforced and B) should be coming off the books either next year or the following. The bill has been introduced the last 2 years and ALMOST passed. Local governments can still pass laws trying to push their "morals" on to us though. gheytastic.
