Imma gonna post some various pics here so i can see how they look on the web. Why am I having such a hard time with the sizes? On this pic the border/logo looks fine. When I run the action i created on a different size pic, the size is all wrong. I thought PS was suppose to stay relative when running actions?

What's the action you're trying to create? If you are defining sizing in pixels/inches then they will all be wrong. You need to define by percentage.

Ah...that makes sense. Do you do that under "canvas size"?? edit: n.m. I just checked and answered my own question. I'll redo the action. Thanks!

    Oh, and here's another test.

    :bigthumb:

BTW, if you're going to play the type color, I would suggest something different:

    Jim Coleman
    or
    Jim Coleman

I would not highlight the J and C. simply put it emphazies those letters and to most folks, they already have a predetermined name for the letters JC and it is not Jim Colman.

what font if I may ask?

I use the red "jim" and the black "colman" because it's similar to what I use on my web site.

    The font is "Aseine"

ok...new test with using "percentage" on a full frame pic then resizing.

seems to work well as long as I start with a full size image then resize. Now I need to figure out how to put multiple images in a frame and make a montage with borders.

are you trying to make it look like a matted photograph with a weighted bottom?

Shouldn't the top and sides be the same, with the bottom weighted?

Regardless of your intent, I'd still give that a try. IMO the current setup looks like a poorly matted photograph.

Yeah you're right. I need to redo it and have the top and sides the same. EDIT: wait a minute...it's suppose to be the same because I used the same percentage on the top and sides??? :dunno: why it's thinner at the top.

Here's what i've been working on for the last hour for your viewing pleasure. I've got to come up with a quicker way to do this.

    in photoshop:

new image, change bg color to 'transparent' near the bottom of the text box.

save as a gif, not a jpg.

my only save options are to save as a "compuserve gif" and that still doesn't work. Any other ideas??

edit: ok..so my web site is fucked up or I'm fucked up or both. I looked around my control panel. It suggest uploading a PGN file for the internal pages. Which I can do, and looks fine but then the spacing is off. On my splash page I can't upload a PGN file (error message) but I can upload a jpeg file, which I don't want because I can't get make a transparent background!!

Fuck it. I'm leaving it alone for now.
