A sample image from yesterdays shoot, image is not done. Trying to find a perfect background image to composite, either of a weight training gym, or a Cage. I have an idea in my head about what i want to do with it, but cant find the perfect image yet, still in search of it.

Sweat was made with 75%/25% glycerin/water mix

    Strobist Info:
-WL X1600 into a AB Beauty dish with AB Grid high above subject
    - Sb800 with grid from 45 degrees behind subject cam right
    - Sb900 with grid from 45 degrees behind subject cam left

Very cool! I think the shot is awesome as is. Perhaps instead of a gym, maybe an iron smelting mill or something?

Thanks, im trying to find some misting/sweat type shots to overlay on the image. Or maybe some steam coming off his shoulders and chest area. Kinda want to push the post a bit to get out of my comfort zone.

I like the contrast and detail as is. The 'sweat' looks great. Be careful to not make the background too busy. A set of cage bars behind him, would be cool and simple.

no as it will leave too much of a gross ness and will smell terrible. I dont recommend it for this type of work. Get some glycerin or gelatin. It works far better, and comes off easier, and doesnt smell bad and doesnt effect makeup too bad.

Sorry, I'm a noob. But how can the front be so nicely lit?
Is it all from the beauty dish above?

damn, for my stuff to be remind you of Blair's is awesome!! Thanks Clint. :)

The look i was trying to go for was similar to the grit of Howard Schatz's Super Six images, but with my own style of course.
