...and was impressed. It's a fast fucking car, no doubt. The car was very responsive and it let me know when the rear was breaking/about to break loose. The one problem that I had with it was that the pedals seemed to be too close together. It's very easy to hit your shoes together when doing the clutch/brake. I have a size 11.5-12 shoe, so who knows.

The steering was VERY tight at high speeds and the car is very wide (felt planted). It didn't, however, feel entirely solid in comparison to most German cars. Something such as shutting the door seemed more loose; there seem to be large tolerances.

Also, how do you open the door if the battery dies? It is electronic. Keep in mind that you open the door with a button that is located on the door handle; you don't physically pull a handle or anything.

The brakes were good, but like I said...the tolerances in the body construction bothered me a little bit. I wish that the center console was more detailed. :dunno: It seemed very bare. Overall, it is a nice car...the exhaust note was incredible and the speed comes up and bites you. You hit the accelerator and before you know it, you are 120+mph. It is instant torque that is very linear. You don't feel the "pull" like you do in most turbo cars. It's just there...

Now I need to wait to test the GTR...

its tough to bitch about tolerances in a $70k 500 hp car, gotta make compromises.

For 70k you either get quality or performance, if you want both, its 100k +

Yeah, I know. They (the tolerances) aren't THAT bad, but definitely noticeable.

The dash wasn't bad...the center console just lacked a little. Nothing too bad, but still.

You are missing the point. Anything related to the dash has zero to do with a c6 z06.

FWIW, I have not driven a C6 Z06 but I have sat in one and I did not find the interior up to the same levels as that of the GTO, a car that is half the price and has 400 out of those 500 horsies.

I will say that I think the C6 interior is a gigantic improvement over the C5. Seems much roomier too.

Tru dat, and the GT-R interior really isn't an improvement over the Z06s. But I'm guessing the build quality of the car in general is on a whole other level...

with a c6 z06, you are buying an american made ferrari with a shitty interior for 70k. If you want a nice interior, you buy a porche or a ferrari and spend twice as much.

Open the trunk with the key and there is a door release tab/cable in the trunk.

A C6 Z06 is far from an American-made Ferrari, if there was such a thing. The closest thing America has ever made to a Ferrari is a Ford GT.

Keep in mind I would give my left nut for a C6 Z06.
