    Whats up guys.

If you guys have been reading my other posts, you probably know that I'm dieting.

However...one of the hardest things for me to pass up are those special meals where you indulge, and end up screwing over an entire week of dieting.

For example, i've been dieting this entire week, cardio everyday...lost 1.5lbs, but my family and my relatives are going to a buffet tonight, because my grandmother is leaving for korea for a few months. In my culture, its disrepectful to not go, and to not eat.

What do you guys do, or what would you guys do, if faced with this type of situation?

My G-ma loves golden corral, so we're going there. At least its all you can eat steak, salads, broiled fish, and etc. I'll just avoid all the fried shrimp and other fried goodies. and eat all the lean protein i can get. :bigthumb:

***Btw, im gonna get an avatar, because you guys have helped me out so much. Its the least i could do for the OT F&N forum....

    thanks again.

In that situation, if your parents get mad at you for wanting to improve the way you look......id just say :p and stay home and eat healthy...

I know when my parents go out to eat a place i know i will go nuts, i usually stay home and eat something healthy.

Cheating once a week is good from what I've read. Your body needs it physiologically and physically.

well, i had my dinner a few hours ago.
This is what i exactly ate there:

First Plate: Romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, scoop of cottage cheese, and a scoop of the tuna salad. (mostly tuna, very dry)
Second Plate: Grilled salmon, steamed broccoli and grilled mushrooms and onions, some shrimp scampi
Third Plate: about 6oz of medium rare steak. (its the best there ever) some pot roast with grilled onions and grilled red and green peppers, piece of rotisserie chicken, thigh.
Dessert: A scoop of amazing banana pudding
drink: water with lemon as always, a sip of sister's sprite to clear my throat though.

Yeah, i did cheat, but i did have an amazing protein intake. I guess its better for me to eat a lot today than usual, considering i have a powermeet tomorrow.

haha i know. but just for this weekend im taking my mind off of weightloss, accepting consequences later. i have a powermeet tomorrow, and i'd just like to see how strong i am compared to 2 years ago, after i took a 2 year break from lifting.

after the meet, its back to dieting again. =/

    hm, gotta get my wallet.

I am just going to say this for me personally.... I hate cheating...it gets me out of my "clean bulking groove" ....if a cheat meal is a 12 inch cheese pizza from papa johns...and i eat all of it...that pizza hurt me physically and mentally...and trust me, i feel sooo guilty after eating it (and i know i will) so why do it.
