K lets say you install bunch o software , you fip flop a bit around the internet , and do some ftp ing with freeware programs, and download a few microsoft updates whatever..

Now garenteed that this will clutter up your temp folder where stuff is 'supposedly' to be stored 'temporarily'

Thing is (when i usually restore people's computers) i go look in

    C:\Documents and Settings\(user of computer)\Local Settings\Temp

Stuff is ALWAYS piled with garbage making your computer go at old geezer speed, although allegedly windows (any version you use) is supposed to clean up the temp folder automatically ' it never does' :squint:

I usually make a small program that auto-cleans the stuff,

BUT WHAT I WANT TO KNOW :o

Is microsoft ever going to make an update an fix the temporary issue? :wavey:

they already have it... It's called the Disk Cleanup Wizard :mamoru:

Also, adjust your Internet Explorer temporary cache settings. It defaults to a % of your hdd, and with modern drives, it amounts to a few GB... Drop it down low. I use 5MB.
