thinkin about pickin up a case of Wolf .223 62gr FMJ for $140 and i just wanted to hear some experiences ya'll have had with it. will be running it through an A2 20", a 24" match rifle, and a 16" M4gery. I know it's a lot dirtier, but how about the accuracy? can't beat the price, so i'd be happy to pick some of this up.

  2. it leaves red shit on the bolt, but its cheap, so I dont give a shit

  3. you should be able to get winchester white box for about the same price :dunno:

I've tried wolf in almost all my guns, use it regularly with the ak's, and fairly regularly with the AR's. Accuracy wise its ok for plinking, its dirty but I can deal with it when I pick it up real cheap. 1.5-2" moa 150-200 yards. Some people say there AR's dont like it I've yet to experience any problems with it, I shoot it out of 20" a1 upper, 16" a3, 11.5" a3, and 16" a4 9mm. For the price cannt bitch its usually quite a bit cheaper then anything else. Silver Bear is also pretty good plinking ammo usually around same price as Wolf

you ought to be able to get a much better price than that on wolf.

i picked up a case for $100 :dunno:

it shoots fine for me. It was a little underpowered in my colt/rra combo, and it would short cycle a good bit. but it ran perfectly in my Oly

accuracy wise... it was a good few inches lower at 100 yards than FAE or georgia arms

I buy it to shoot out of the mini. Runs fine.

A friend tried it in his AR and it was short cycling though and eventually jammed the rifle.

I've heard the 62gr is a little underpowered.

Never had a problem with their new non laquer coated .223, or their 7.62 x 39. I don't like their .45 ammo at all, and the 9mm stuff is ok.

where'd you see that? ever since the surplus ammo has been scarce, i think their prices have gone up, but let me know where you got that.

well, i now hear that the 62gr are a bit underpowered. I'd rather have a heavier bullet, since it'd do better in my 1/8" twist rate guns. hmm, gotta decide whether to order 55gr or 62gr.

ive used it in all my uppers, bushy, colt, rra, and an unknown. 0 problems, try to get the newer nonlaquer coated stuff its a bit cleaner(laquer gunks up the chamber) powder still dirty though. Also besides Wolf, Silver Bear is usually about the same price also russian made and shoots pretty good. Was able to pick up a case of SB HP's cheaper then Wolf awhile back.

yeah try out a couple boxes make sure its good, seen stories out arfcom how peoples rifles dont like it have various problems but I've yet too see any problems firsthand have a few friends with AR's who've all used it :dunno: I think its great plinking ammo, wouldnt use it as defensive ammo or anything lots of other ammo that performs better. Well I've never tested the .223 but taken deer with the 7.62 before and the HP's didnt perform like they should of but either way it killed the deer lol
