Found one with 120,000 miles and supposedly runs and drive great. Thing is it has a rebuilt title, and the pass side had damage so it's going to need painted.

$800 and the guy seems very firm on that price

i would still go over every inch of it with a proctoscope. as i would with any used car. leakdown, brakes, trans, diffs etc. but, nja. i got a 05 turbo with 159 thou and it still runs fine. drives as new

Oh I will. I just don't have any experience with these and don't know any one who has owned one. Have always liked them though.

go get. we'll wait. you know a mechanic? he will work up a list of repairs and costs the car needs. this figure will either make or break the deal.

it looks like it just hit a guard rail or something. Take it to a subaru mechanic, if the frame is straight and it doesn't need anything go for it.

I'm sure you can get a newer (99~ Impreza RS) motor in there taht would make it fun. I'd jump on it.

they made a STI in 95, so you can probably find some cool body parts for it and what not

WTF are you kidding me? :ugh:

Plugs on the car are a minor annoyance, and that's only on the driver's side. My last car was a 95 L AWD. Great beat around car, never had any major problems, ended with 130,000 before getting new car. It looked silly but kicked ass in the snow with a decent set of tires. I even pulled free a Civic that was stuck in a snowstorm a few years ago. Never regretted owning it.

Wrong, the non-turbo motors are extremely easy to work on and roomy... and you don't have to pull the engine to do the plugs on a turbo anyway.

No. Where was that one built? Japan or Indianna?

The american-built subarus are slightly shitty compared to the japanese ones, but not really much - they're still solid enough cars.
