electrical tape works well too, although its thicker so you cant add as much as fast as you can with teflon

just be sure you're changing it regularly or it'll really start to stink

its this thin white stuff, its tape but its not sticky or anything
made from polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE for short (teflon is a brand name)
people use it for warping the threads on pipes and stuff to make it water tight.. someone someday found out it would work good to wrap your plugs and stretch with it
saves a lot of money, you can get a roll or teflon tape for pocket change.. i got a roll 1/2 wide and 480 inches long for 69 cents at the hardware store

I'm confused as to how this is done too. I work with teflon tape, and unless it's on thread's it's pretty slippery and doesn't grab real well. So, i'd think that it'd be tough to wrap a plug or something and shove it through, without the tape moving.

i fixed your post. see above ^^^^

as for stretching, if its tearing with a taper then your ear is not ready to stretch

I've used it to stretch my tongue piercing... My tongue doesnt like to stretch on it's own, so throwing a couple layers around the barbell each night works like magic
