Technical question about accessing a remote database...

    Here's the situation. There's a file-based database at one location. The other location (100 miles away) wants to access this database too. Both places need access to this database. Oh, this can not be converted over to a SQL Server. That would have been too easy. Any usual answer would be most appreciated.

    smb, nfs, etc... some form of secure file sharing protocol.

    Terminal Services. The amount of bandwidth to access lets say an Access database is too big to work properly over the internet.
