    So I pulled a Girth,
I couldn't decide to buy the 35mm 1.8 and just wait until I get back from brazil to decided whether or not to buy the 17-55 or the 24-70.

    Or

skipp the 35mm and just buy the 17-55

Instead I bought them both!!! YAY me. I am the proud new owner of the 35mm 1.8 and the 17-55 2.8 both DX's will fit well on my d300.

Unfortunately I have to find a way to smuggle them through Brazilian customs since they have a 50% tariff on imported goods that could of been bought in the country. Any idea's??

P.S both lens are sitting at home waiting for me, to either be shipped or delivered to someone in route to Sao Paulo (I will be here until 2010)

good choices. My buddy rented both those lenses and the 10.5 fisheye for the last wedding we did, loved them all. He wants to buy all 3 lenses but his wife won't let him... yet. :mamoru:

I have used the fish eye but that is such a "fancy" lens it is only for shits and giggles and wouldnt be much use, if I was just a hobbies i would just that lens, its a lot of fun.

I had a 10.5 I sold a few months ago...it had a hairline crack under the glass. After googling it i found it was common. It in no way effected the picture quality either. I ended up selling it for about 150 below market value too because people kept backing out.

Was a fun lens but you're right...not the most useful.
