TCP Transmission Protocols?

    Not sure if that's even what they're called :o

    My professor was telling us about these ways of sending data through TCP. Selective repeat, Go Back N, and Ping-Pong are some of these. He described another that basically sent checksums to the receiver, and the receiver built the file based on the checksums.

    All I'm looking for is the name of that method, I'm curious about it and want to read some. Thanks :)

    TCP in of itself is a transmission protocol and sends data.. is it possible you misunderstood?

    TCP = Transmission Control Protocol
