Thoughts on this gun? Anyone have it? Still mulling over what i want.
BTW - i'd be paying around $400 for this gun new.
Some people hate a lot of things for no good reason.
M&P 45 ftw.
Whatever you do, don't do it now bro.
kinda like you and M&P's
He doesn't like the grips or trigger.
I also don't like how you take it down. Or the slide.
seems like valid reasons to dislike the M&P.
making shitty products will generally bring on some hate.
Take down is way better than other guns I've had. Pulling the trigger for take down is pure retardism.
What don't you like about the slide? I think it's just fine.
If I didn't like the grips or trigger on a gun, I wouldn't buy it either.
But I do like the grips and trigger on the M&P. I also like the take-down and slide.
Taurus won't rape your dog and eat your babies but I think you can get a much better gun for the same money.
True - I'm really not a fan of the plastic trigger on the OSS. I just know it's been pretty sought after since it's new.
For about $40 more i can get a SA XD Tacticool.
If you don't dig the MP, check out some of the older S&W metal framed autos. They're quite cheap, have an unquestionably better service department behind them, and (I think) are far less likely to need it to start with.
not entirely. Being able to take down a loaded gun is retarded, too.
meh, if you were looking at a M&P you're probably wanting a polymer frame, so if you don't like the ergos or reliability record of the M&P then you probably should go with a glock.
don't want a Glock
I have heard good things about them
I have a regular 24/7 pro in 9mm and I like it, but the sights are pretty wierd to get used to and the trigger pull is really long then a heavy but crisp break. I got it for a cheap plinker mainly because it was $350 NEW and holds 17+1.
so you dislike both the m&p and the glock... but want a polymer pistol? You're up shit creek, my friend. Maybe try a sig or usp?
I've owned one Taurus semi-automatic (can't remember model) and it had nothing but issues.
If I were to buy another Taurus it would have to be a wheel gun, they are good.
I'd go used M&P, or used XD.
Used goods of repute trump new (or "unknown") flavored shit, any day of the week.
I have the same. I love mine. I use mine for CCW purposes as well. Nothing about that gun has ever given me any reason to not trust it. Fires flawlessly for me.
Good review of the Taurus PT 24/7 OSS:
