    Any thoughts?

I am leaning toward this for a possible CCW

  2. Why that as opposed to any of the other much more common choices for CCW?

I have one of these. It's great! It's a recent acquisition, but I have close to 500 rounds through it and have experienced no malfunction of any kind. It's nicely balanced and has well-thought out design and ergonomics. I would recommend it to anyone.

I like that one too but its a single stack and it very thin(too thin for me IMO) and holds 7+1.

    vs. 45 that holds 10+1

Well, for every good review there's bound to be bad ones....

I had a Millenium Pro .40. Bought it for CCW (about a week before my CHL class actually). Within a week (150 rounds or so) it developed a crack along the side of the frame from in front of the trigger guard all the way to the slide release.

Sent it back to Taurus and they replaced the frame, but I never trusted that gun again. Since it had a new frame and light use, the gun shop allowed me to upgrade to a Glock 27. I learned my lesson, should have bought the Glock in the first place instead of trying to save money on a wannabe.

Yeah, I am leaning that way... I dont have my carry permit and I dont think I will carry that often if I do get it. I just want the option.

Have a Millenium Pro in 9mm. Not a bad gun at all. No problems with mine, and there's been over 1000 rounds through it.

    Decent to carry as well.

I am trying to decide whether or not to get the 9mm

I already have a 9mm so I can buy ammo in bulk if I get that one but the 45 is quite alluring.

I'd go for 9 in that case.. hell of alot easier to just have to get raped on one type of ammo than it is several.

And what, exactly, are the "common" choices?

my friend CCWs his millenium pro 9mm

we both have them in 9mm and they're GReat

  22. For CCW? Glock, Sig, small revolvers. I never said " don't carry the Taurus" I was just curious why he was looking at it over something like I mentioned.

    Because common != better

I liked my Taurus because it fit well, shot well, was a good size, and held a decent amount in the mag. And it's reliable.
