If a overweight guy gets a tattoo and then he goes on a diet and looses 50+ pounds, will the skin where the tattoo is shrink and tighten or will it remain stretched?

I’m currently on a diet and I’m really wondering about this, I’m trying to get back down to 155-160lbs… so that will take awhile

    Thanks

it depends on your age and the elasticity in your skin

our skin has only so much elasticity, but in most cases, the skin tightens on its' own.

but if the weight loss is done over a long period of time, you should be fine, it gives a chance for the skin to return to a tightened state

Is it possible for you to wait until you get the tattoo?

I was 210-215 in college, muscle/fat and I am now 170 muscle and havent had any problems. Just lift heavy and you will be ok

hard to answer. it really depends on your genetics (skin elasticity).

i have seen people lose 50lbs and have no visible effect on their skin. ive seen people lose the same and the skin drooped.

my suggestion would be to lose weight (fat) but at same time lift hard to build muscle. this should lessen the impact on your skin.

go to F&N to look up the right way to lose fat. i think how you are going about your weight loss will also have an impact.

It's a question that's hard to give one answer for. Depends on where on the body it is, how quickly your weight changes, and whether you're getting bigger or smaller. I will say that it is much better if you're losing weight and doing it gradually - which is the right way to go about that anyway. Someone getting ink and then ballooning up really fast within 6 months to a year has a much higher chance of stretching/warping things.

i've slowly dropped 75lbs of body weight over the past few years i don't really have any droopy skin. but i did wait till this year to get the sleeve just incase :wiggle:

so yeah just depends how fast/ how much you loose.
