What effect does heavy weightlifting actually have on tattoos? That is, if I were to get a tatoo on my bicep or forearm and then gain significant muscle afterwards, would misshapen or skewed tattoos be a concern, or not really?

    Thanks in advance.

It's not really a concern unless we are talking IMMENSE changes. If you are going to get a tattoo at 130 pounds covering half your body, then spend 15 years going to 330lbs and competing with ronnie coleman you might see some serious changes- kind of like the same amount of distortion a pregnant woman would expect on a stomach tattoo.

by the time you gain enough muscle to effect the tattoo it'll be time for a touchup anyway.
