35 rounds. Was shooting 5 rounds from each mag on this sheet to make sure
all my mags were working ok.

    AR15 with a 9x40 at 25 yards :mamoru:

BulletTrap in Dallas has a really short rifle tunnel. I had to crank a ton of
elevation into the scope to get it sorted.....going to suck when I go back to
    my normal range (100 yard).

I was shooting so quick that the barrel got really damned hot too....sort of got concerned about that.

Why? Did you not keep track of your changes? :nono::nono:

And why the fuck are you worried about the barrel getting hot? It's a gun. It's normal operation generates heat.

9 power scope at 25yards and you still had 3 flyers :mamoru: j/k Ya I really wouldn't worry about the barrel unless you got it glowing red for an extended period.

nah but I was a little worried to put it back in the soft case....I was pretty
sure the nylon would start melting.

you think 35 rounds gets a gun hot? Try 250 (8 mags, 1 40-rounder, 7 30-rounders) through an AK in 10 minutes. I couldnt even touch the fucking thing by the 7th mag. I had to hold the foregrip with a rag. The grip melted to the barrel. It was badass.

Not just a plastic foregrip, it's a plastic Saiga foregrip. I bought a Saiga conversion already done, but the only Saiga thing left was the foregrip, which was clearly NOT designed to handle a lot of heat from constant shooting, unlike standard AK foregrips.

The target was dancing around in the near-freezing air conditioning blowing through the rifle tunnel.

We were watching the guy next to us handle a rented AR with his finger on the trigger almost constantly and little concept of safety engagement. He managed at least one near-negligent discharge pulling back the charging handle - thankfully with the rifle pointed downrange. We were relieved when he called it quits after ~50 rounds.

I still think it's funny....I gave his kid 10 rounds out of my stash since it was
his birthday and his dad shoots 10 more times and tells his kid "hey, he just
gave you 10 more so I get to shoot 10 more too"

I'm glad the staff took my XD or I probably would have pistolwhipped that
    jackass.
