    hey guys,
    just wondering
what you guys use to back up data on your networks. I currently you a sony tape drive with AIT-3 tapes doing daily backups.

I was looking into upgrading to the QUALSTAR RLS series tape library system. Anyone use this? What else do you guys use?

For some reason, I have to hightlight this page to read your text. Double check your font color... :)

We use daily backups with an HP tape drive using Veritas Backup-Exec.

We use Storagetek libraries, L20, L180, L700, Powderhorn's with a heterogenous mix of drives.

We are very happy with the libraries, they have been rock solid from day one. We've used IBM, pretty good, tandem, digital/compaq (crap). We plan to move forth with STK libraries from now on.

As for tape drives, we use a whole bunch, my most reliable are the 9940B's.

What's your budget? How much are you backing up for how long? What is your restoration window? Do you need to be up ASAP?
