Have yet to toss it in the AK; probably get around to it the next day off.

Next on the list, I'm really thinking about a red dot. How well do the rail mounts that secure on the side and then come up to the top of the receiver fit? Are they stable at all?

I'm hoping this trigger makes a great difference, because my trigger finger hurts like hell after a few mags currently.

As long as the siderail mount is of decent quality they're pretty stable, the ones from Tantal work great, ones from tapco, or centerfire are probably garbage.

    :coold:

Think once that's done, I'm going to put on some new furniture and probably be done with it.

I don't have any slap on my G2s. I second the mounts from Tantal, the ones I've used seem very sturdy.

Both of my AK's have G2's in them, no slap what so ever.

I really need to put that thing in.. then go shoot. I'll see if I can't hunt down the tantal mount.

EDIT: Tantal's BP-02 is the sex. :noes:

I emailed the fine folks.. get pricing and then get it ordered.

Is a new gas piston or any other internals worth it?

Unless yours is broken or you need a US part, no reason to buy a new one. Let me know how much those mounts are, I think I may get one.
