good enough for good wedding shots?
sure, but get a difuser for the sb600.
if you know how to use it
diffusers don't do jack without walls to bounce off of
canon 17-55 or tamron 17-50... doesn't really matter either way.
make one of these for your flash.. they work great.
you don't want to do weddings, trust me
I need to make me one of these once I get my SB600.
PS - I love that with all the technology and the many thousands of dollars invested in some of these setups, many good photogs have $2 diffusers/bouncers made out of fucking paper mache on their rigs. Good times.
why pay gary fong $50 to do the same thing?
I'm gonna try the lumiquest sometime soon
I have a buddy who made a bounce card out of a 5x7 index card. Pics turn out great.... very nice and even lighting.
o and if i do it it'll just be for fun for a friend's wedding.
somebody recently posted a link to a guy that made his own diffusers... made it out of like $5 worth of material. I believe the link was posted in this forum...
edit: better bounce card. see below \/
better bounce card video
sweet.. i need to make one. i have a stofen, but this looks like you can do more.
edit: will resume paper work?
why do you want to?
tons of pressure, you needs tons of equipment and backup equipment, need to konw how to MASTER all forms of lighting, need to capture a huge dyncamic range in EVERY image, you won't make much if any money upfront for a while, competiting at the bottom with thousands of others in the same boat with no way to distinguish yourself.
And then the bridezillas. Theres better markets for making money
I have one of those that I don't use.
Sure, why not?
stock - lifestyle images
both extremely well paying and still sought after despite all the new digi photographers.
I've made a good ammount of monies from that.
