I'm 6'3.....not flexible at all and I can just barely reach parallel without falling over. Like I seriously think its impossible for me to go ass to heels. I'm pretty sure my form is correct, does anyone else have this problem? :hs:

why dont you try doing it without any weight and see if you can get there, then you'll figure out whether its flexibility or strength.

just practice your form with less weight. I can't go nearly as heavy with my feet close together and going right to the ground, but they seem to work much better regardless. i think it's probably your hip flexibility that is giving you the problem

try arching your back. arching my back helps sooo much with balancing.

yea that helps. but it seems like if i wanna get really low i have to ge on my toes. maybe with the weight on my back it'll force my heels down :dunno:

Maybe you're too upright? Try leaning foward a little, and don't be afraid to let your knees come foward slightly.

if you find your heels lifting off the ground, try doing them with a board under your heels (I've used a 10lb plate under each heel before). That way your center of gravity is already forward. I did that until i got more used to the movement

i guess if you don't mind widening your stance, that is a good solution. I like to keep my legs closer together as i find it stress the quads more, where as a wider stance works the glutes and hams to a greater extent. But whatever is most comfortable is definetely the way to go
