I am rethinking my idea to reblue my Westernfield's barrel, action, and feed tube and might just reblue the tube (which really needs it).

I used some fine steel wool and Rem Oil last night on the barrel and action and it took some flecks off. I figure the blue is probably 75% right now (some "browning").

Is there anything else I can do to remove the flecks without taking too much bluing with it?

Well, I "practiced" on the .22's feed tube last night. So far so good. The blue/rust remover and steel wool took 97% of the rust and blue off. I reblued twice so far and its looking even and good.

If the feed tube works out well I might try the barrel after all.
