Supposed to be a lot better. Its got a lot better system than anything non-1 series and AI Servo II is smarter on paper than AI Servo (Servo II actively looks at pretty much all focus points to determine how out of focus those areas are so the system can more accurately determine size and track a subject).

    Ive heard mixed reports though.

    :dunno:

I think the few on there that have it love it.

Fast :dunno: the 19 point is fairly nice, the zones work well. I pulled the trigger monday afternoon and it arrived Tuesday morning :eek3:

I'm not the expert here by any stretch of the imagination, but goddam I love this thing compared to my older 40D!

AF is so much faster and smoother
ISO is better...all my pics at 6400ISO have less noise
video alone is worth the price of admission! fucking win!
the viewfinder is the best in Canon, south of the 1D, IMO.
    Fit and finish is perfect.

just a homerun by canon IMO.

    i got mine tuesday night.

    i love it.

EVERYTHING on it is better than the 5D2, except the sensor, imo.

faster burst, 2 digic4's, feels better in the hand, nice live-view switch, better metering, better AF..

    look how sexy it is:

and all the other crap im giving up because the 7D can do it all :hsugh:

yup. it's still a good camera, but I dont do any video work anymore. The servo-controlled focus on the XL1/1s was reaaaaaaaaaaaly slow so you couldnt really pull focus quickly.

either way, im really happy with my choice :) all the old stuff should be gone this week. just waiting for payment.

found a local guy on clist that had the D7 grip, nib for 4200. probably gonna pick that up

then hopefully a 70-200 before my cousin's wedding next week. another guy has the 24-70 and 70-200 for 2500 total...seems like a pretty good deal, but ideally, i should get a wide before i go replacing the kit lens.
