be prepared for a brain fuck.....i walked out of that test feeling like my mind melted.
took it a few weeks ago, came away with a 105
Good luck man. Heard it's hard, but not too terrible if your basically familiar with your language.
same score, took it about 1.5 years ago when i had dreams of applying to SF
nice. contemplated pysop but just cant get over the fact of being stuck in fayetteville. will prolly just try for reclass to 35N w/language or 35P
35 series would be the way to go and then Join a HUMINT Collector Team
I am actually planning to goto Bragg
anything can be better than Ft Gordon
im already a 35T(33W)
oh and btw the delta gear study guide is a big help
Good luck! I'll be taking it later this month also. Let us know who you do.
I was taking it because a job slot for cryptologic linguist opened up and there was only one more guy trying for it. He got a 99. I really messed up on the first section about where you identify the stresses in certain words.
still a pretty decent score..well on the old scoring system
is DLAB score the only thing taken into account for the job?
are these the most up to date score cutoffs? ive found a few different answers.
Cat. I = 95
Cat. II = 100
Cat. III= 105
Cat. IV = 110
edit: read on goarmy.com that 105 is the qualifying score for DLI.
I honestly picked random letters...
i resemble that remark.
Am I pretty much hopeless for getting an intel job if I cant score higher on the DLAB? I speak fluent spanish. Read, Write, Speak. Does it count for anything?
No, intel is more than just languages. What will disqualify you from intel is a rocky past, and/or bad credit.

I took it about four years ago, and it's basically based on your natural ability and probably just a bit of luck. The most important thing is not to stress over individual questions and fall behind during the test. If you do, you'll end up Christmas treeing a fuck ton of questions just to catch up. Just prepare yourself for the bull shit jibberish you're going to be listening to, and you'll be alright. That's pretty much what I did, and I did pretty well.
