When a supplement says on the label to take with food, does a scoop of protein in water count as food?

That’s what I have pre-workout, just don’t know if it’s considered “food.” :dunno:

Same here, always take them with an actual meal. I have been sick too many times from taking pain stuff with no food, I don't chance taking stuff without real food.

Knowing the supp's would help... but I would think that a protein shake would not count as adequate food.

I just take everything in the morning with breakfast (fish oil, multi, calcium, and fiber).

Venom Hyperdrive in the morning, and taking that with actual food isn't really a problem,

It's the 3rd Jungle Warfare that I take before my evening workout (which is before dinner) and I only have protein/water before I workout.

if you're ingesting nutrients you should be alright, just keep in mind you'll digest the liquid faster than a solid food

    Isn't that the point?

Not in a smart-ass way, but seriously.

yes, but not necessarily for digestion of a tablet or capsule which can take longer and not be delivered during the optimal ingestion or mechanism used to deliver the nutrients from the pill as supplied by digestion of the food

Oh, I get what you're saying.

I take it about 30min prior to workout, so I'm hoping that will be a good time-frame.
