so between my plyometrics, cardio, squats and deads, plus with all the sand volleyball I play....it is starting to take its toll on my knee. I am starting to feel minor pain in my left knee. I figured i would take it easy for now.

for those of you that play alot of jumping-related sports and are active like me, how do you take care of your knees? I have a decent vertical jump, low/mid 30s so i would say i do put quite a bit of stress on my knees. - I guess I need to start taking care of them....

    any advice??

i do plyos at least 2x a week.

The usual routine consists of 3 different exercisies. 3 sets at 10 reps each for each type of exercise. I usually pick from depth jumps, box jumps, knee jumps, side to side jumps and alternating leg hops.

In addition, when I'll practice my jump serves and spiking for an hour at a time and will usually get in about 40-50 full all-out jumps in that. I do that 2-3x a week.

Some of the best high jumpers in the world dont even use more than 80 contacts per session. Might want to keep that in mind
