    then follow with 5-7g of creatine/day

    thats a fuck load of creatine. is it really necessary?

    the loading phase is a marketing scheme to get you to burn thru creatine faster so you'll buy more. take the normal dose

    As I understand it the 5-7gr a day is normal for monohydrate the "loading" bit seems a bit much.

    Yea but all studies have been done with loading... creatine is cheap enough these days anyway, its not like thats really gonna hurt your wallet.

    I also went by .035g/kg when I did my Creatine Monohydrate supplementation.

    In clinical trials they showed that, in terms of initial weight gain, loading created the gains faster than not loading. But both groups ended up at the same point eventually.
    I wouldn't bother loading. Also, I know this is anecdotal, but I have a friend who got kidney stones after loading creatine at 25g a day.
