Regarding the comparison chart, so a guy lugging gear on a bike all day has the same water/food intake as someone riding in a truck?
Thats 3 gal of water, thats alot of water.
It also doesnt say how much it weighs, because it would be another thing they would have to ruck.
The Delta guy in Blackhawk down used a mountain bike to exfil I'm pretty sure.

That bike was in the marine times recently. I believe the weight on it is 21 pounds.

The logistical requirements of a bicycle are much easier than vehicles, but odds are they won't be used by mainstay combat units until the petroleum supplies run out - and then they'll probably be far simpler, brutal affairs that aren't trying to sell themselves to a particular niche of the cyclist community.
