It appears where I live there is not any DSL or Cable,etc.. So my roommates are forced =D to get a T-1 line.

So now I have to buy a router, and I don't want to spend too much money on it.. All I am looking to spend is maybe $200 bucks. I've been looking on ebay, but I am unsure of the types of CISCO routers that fit my need. Any suggestions...

All I need to do is make sure it has a CSU/DSU hookup in it apparently. I am completely dumb in networking..

How much is that going to cost you a month? T1s are expensive. Atleast where I live.

i doubt you'll find anything as cheap as $200, but i could be wrong. And unless the provider supplies you with one, you'll need a CSU/DSU.

The provider wants an extra $100 bucks a month for a router and after a year it's ours.. So it's seems like a ridiculous amount..

The T-1 line is only $450 a month. That's for a full clear channel. Not bad all in my eyes, especially with 2 other roommates in the house..

But if you're serious, a Cisco 2501 and a CSU/DSU will do you just fine.

It was.. It is a full T-1 line...

The way they say it, is how I referenced it to you guys..

    "... This is a clear channel T1 (1.5Mbps)...."

You'll need the router and CSU/DSU (like an AdTran)...

There are a few routers out there with CSU/DSU features built-in, but you're talking well over $750..

Run an eBay search for CSU router and see what you get.
