I got rid of my old computer and want to start syncing my iPhone with my new PC. Is there anything I need to keep in mind? Am I going to have to wipe it out and start fresh with the new system?

I'm no itunes expert but I think you'll need to uncheck the 'sync music' box so it doesn't wipe everything out...unless you just want to start fresh.

you need to uncheck all the boxes except for manually sync! that way you don't lose any of your stuff whenever you sync it w/ the new PC!

also, make sure you authorize the pc in itunes as well...once you set up your new itunes back up your iPhone to your new PC

Aren't you going to have to wipe everything since it needs to authorize with the new PC?

The joys of iTunes. Make sure to back up contacts on Outlook and so forth.

i do have a backup of my old pc, so i'm digging through and restoring various components as i find them. i've got the apps back on my new pc. as far as the contacts go, i don't even remember how i got them in. i know i had some sort of comma separated file that i imported someway. i don't remember what i used though since i don't use outlook.

EDIT: just remembered i just used windows contacts in vista.
