Working with OS X and a external Firewire drive. Basically I want to sync 2 folders to keep one as a backup. I used to use synctoy for xp that worked awesome. I have tried sync folders automator action but if I delete something on my mac I want it to be deleted when the 2 folders are synced on the external.

Anyone have any ideas, maybe some sort of backup software would work better for this but I want to be able to plug the drive into another computer and work off it. So something that creates a backup file, then has to be extracted, etc will not work.

I've been using the automator function "sync folders" but it doesn't have the option that if I delete a file on my mbp to also delete it from my external when I sync.

Unless I am missing something here, I am not real familiar with Automator.
