Swollen muscle, what to do?

    must have squatted too much, part of the quad on my left leg is swollen. i don't feel pain, but it does feel "tight" to move about (especially when squatting), almost like DOMS.

    is RICE sufficient for this? sorry, i don't have much experience with dealing with injuries.

    also, does anyone have any idea how long before this goes away? i wanna squat dammit. :mad:

    i tend to find replacing glycogen while i lift to decrease DOMS greatly

    it's not DOMS, it just reminds me of it.

    Shit, did you feel anything sharp or feel anything tear while you were squatting?

    It could just be a knot that you need to rub out with a tennisball or something, I get those in my upper back sometimes. I just hope you don't have a small tear or something.

    i did feel something in my quad squatting, like a pressure in that area but not exactly pain.

    a tear would hurt really fucking bad amirite? :noes:

    it feels normal today, just tight when i try to bend my knee by brining my calf towards my hamstrings though.

    Did this a couple weeks ago to my left pec. Looked pretty funny with my shirt bulged out on only the left side :hs:

    Exactly. Just sore like I worked out hard. My friends just thought I got really jacked all of a sudden lol.

    I didn't do anything. It just slowly went away after a few days, maybe 5.
