a friend of mine has offered to sell me a G3 for $440, all the parts are made by H&K, except the reciever, which is made by ::shudders:: century arms. is it possible ot take out the century reciever and replace it with a new reciever? if so, what (company) reciever should i get? im looking at the $300 range, unless its h&k, and in that case, how much would an h&k reciever cost?

Some century arms G3 recievers are pretty decent, although the company has a horrible history. I've talked to alot of CAI G3 owners, and mostly their complaints are with the muzzlebreak. Some are even soldered on crooked. If you can, shoot it before you buy it, it might just be fine. G3 recievers are a pain in the ass, I wouldn't wanna get a new one if I didn't have to.

btw, don't even try to get an HK reciever
