for you guys who have pistols where there is a safety switch. (not a trigger safety or grip safety) how do you leave it when your carrying?

the only positive thing ive found being on F is that if you ever need to engage someone your ready to go. the downside is for some odd reason the hammer hits the firing pin, and you have a round going down your leg

of course its a DA/SA.. if a pull of the trigger cocks the hammer AND fires the gun, then its a DA.. and once a round is fire, automatically racking the slide, then it converts to SA.

whoever told you that is a retard

Depends, if it was a DA, I'd carry safety on, hammer down. SA, safety on, hammer cocked. Funny thing seems about manual safeties, if you don't train to disengage them when you draw, you find them engaged when you really draw.

carrying a DA with a safety on defeats half of the purpose of a DA to begin with..

so you would have to switch off the safety, AND have a long fucking trigger pull..

    waste of time..

but the makarov isnt a DAO, its a DA/SA

    Safety Off, Hammer down.

    DA/SA

Unless I know i'm walking into a tense situation, safety off, hammer cocked. :noes:

That's why well designed DA/SA's don't have manual safeties.
