Currently i'm 6', 165 pounds. Not really cut but not really scrawny, i've kept active most of my life. I've tried in the past to hit the gym to bulk up, however i'm afraid of not being able to work out all my muscles so that i might look out of proportion.

I'm thinking about just hitting the pool for an hour or so every other day and just swim laps, the days in between I would just hit the gym and do cardio excercises. I'm not looking to get huge or anything, I would like to keep a lean figure just more cut. Target weight for me is 170-175 pounds, i'm just wondering if you guys have any advice on what I should eat. Keep in mind that i'm a full-time grad student living in an apartment with little cooking experience.

thanks for the help in advance.

    no

thats like the opposite of what u want to do

in order to bulk, u have to eat more calories than you burn which means less cardio

Cliffs: What you're doing is fine, but just eat a lot more. It doesn't matter what you eat, just more of it.

swimming is not going to get you huge, but it'll help build the chest like crazy. i did a season of college swimming and came out super top heavy.

That is too much cardio. Pick one out of those to do for your cardio. Like bike on monday, run on wednesday, and do the stairs for 15-20 on friday.
