How hard would this be to pull off? Just different sections shot at different times of the day? I wonder how much post went into it and if Photoshop's stitching would work well.

I wouldn't imagine its too hard at all. Photoshop doesn't know the difference, it just blends colors the best it can. I'm gonna have to give it a try.

I've wanted to do a pano like that early in the morning when the sun is rising, and the moon is setting.

more flexible to shoot two panoramas (one at dawn/dusk one at night) then blend them with layer mask

most of what I use photoshop for could also be achieved in a darkroom... so it's not really cheating, but thanks for playing.

Then go back to shooting film.

But don't use any contrast filters or chemical changes or anything. Thats cheating.

if you decide to shoot one panorama by taking half the pics 12 hours later then when you go to blend the panorama you have no say in where the transitions lay

:hsugh: I'd be taking them at the same time.... I take it you don't get up very early? There's a window of time where both the moon and the sun are visable.

    :hs:

i can't figure out where the hell he shot that from. There is a beach/park in that area, but it wouldn't give him the height it shows over the boat. And if he found a spot on the hill it wouldn't give that perspective unless he major cropped the bottom out
