how many carbs a day do you eat?

What is ammonia and where does it come from?
Ammonia (chemical term is NH3) is a nitrogen breakdown product of amino acids in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks to make proteins in the body. If your body turn to breaking down amino acids for energy (instead of using carbohydrate and/or fat), the nitrogen atom is chemically stripped of the amino acid molecule (which is then converted to glucose fuel) and processes the nitrogen in the kidneys and forms urea for excretion. If your kidneys cannot handle the load of urea, the nitrogen is excreted in your sweat as ammonia.

no clue, i haven't been counting calories or macros. just been eating healthy food. so this means i might not be getting enough carbs? like not enough carbs before workout or throughout the day? do people who do atkins diet have problems like this?

yes your body would prefer to use glucose (sugar-carbs) for energy but since their is not enough available it is taking protein converting it to amino acids and then turning those to sugar. eat some good carbs from healthy sources. you might want to have a couple high carb days a weeks so you dont get so carb depeleted (2 or 3) spread out equally.

If you are this carb depleted one or two meals probably wont be enough...you need to consistenly eat carbs...

well, i have my protein every morning with my workout mixed with some gatorade powder. then i have lunch which is usually like a chicken salad or turkey avacado pita or a sandwhich with soup usually, sometimes a subway sub. yesterday for dinner i had a pork salad, i think the day before that i had corn chowder soup. usually snack on beef jerky between meals. :dunno:

lol, yuck. haven't noticed this, but i don't usually sweat while i sleep and i wash my sheets somewhat frequently.

i definitely avoid carbs though, at least sugary carbs... other than my gatorade in the morning.

I stay upwind of the cows and guys with boobs walking briskly on the treadmills because of this. Otherwise my eyes would tear up from the smell of sweaty fat rolls. :wtc:

yeah that diet sounds awful. High in protein and nothing else. Need good fats, good carbs and fruits/vegetables other than leafy greens

From what I have read it is usually not ammonia you are smelling, but acetone. Unless you are 100% sure it is ammonia you are smelling don't worry about it.
