I have two macs laptop, a g4 ibook and macbook pro. I want to switch up the data from both of them. Is there a program to do such a thing or do I have to manually transfer the files?

can you define what you mean by switching up data?

if anything, just fire one of them up in Transfer mode and plug a firewire cable between them and just copy what you want

if you mean sync info on both computers, and get an iDisk
    then use .mac (www.mac.com)

if you mean transfer files between the two, connect a firewire cable between the two and it allows you to transfer files (but you'll have to read up on exactly how, just google it)

    Sorry for the confusion.

I just want the data and setting from one laptop to the other one, and vice versa. Is there a simple way to do it? I know I can wipe out the mac book pro and transfer the file from ibook to it but then I have to save the files on the macbook to transfer it over. This is after I do a clean os wipe.

    External hard drive?

Copy everything from the host computer on the external then copy on the other computer?
