What does it mean when a green "POWER" alert comes up on the dash?
Power Steering issue?
Do u really think that's what it is? All the warning lights are red it seems and this one is green.
what kind of transmission?
You're kidding right?
I forget what it means exactly. Does it blink, or just come on then go off? My g/f has one and hers comes on when you get on it. I think it has something to do with switching modes like its directed itself in a power mode or something. It does blink though a certain amount of times to let you know of diagnostic problems.
it's probably "power" shifting mode for the auto trans.....
Yes, it's most likely a sport mode for quicker/firmer shifting.
To those asking about what tranny, they only made the SVX with an auto trans.
Can't believe I forgot about that. Yeah, check to see if you hit the manual mode on the shifter.
no blinking. I think you're right about it being a power mode or something. Thanx.
I see them regularly on cars.com and autotrader and generally people seem to take good care of them. Surprising you couldn't find one.
it means the car's computer has changed the automatic transmission's shifting map, it's for increased POWER. It's a good thing. It should come on when you hit the accelerator fast and hard.
It's not a good thing when it comes on and stays on without accelerating or blinks. It means there's a fault in the PCM
