    the general idea is, has been, and still will be :bigthumb:

    reliable, not too much power but still fun once you get the hang of it, plus when you drop it since chances are you probably will theres not as much plastic to screw up and sliders actually provide good protection since the body isnt right up on them

    2k3 and above are fuel injected... I have seen 06's going for that much on craigslist. I would keep looking if i were you.

    im looking at a sv650s as well.. what do u guys think of the copper color? i'm :dunno: about it :o. the 2003+ model looks way better than the older one though

    also can someone tell me why this is a good beginner bike, even though it's 645cc? :confused: :dunno:

    I am sold on the bike, 650 cc, sporty look, cheap insurance. Was watching some youtube videos of sv650's with m4 exhaust and they sound awesome.

    Was my first bike (06 in copper). Great to learn on. Had a nice amount of torque. Nice and comfortable seating.

    clipons are bars mounted to the forks, one for each side

    by handlebars I mean a one piece handlebar mounted above the top triple clamp
