Okay, so I downloaded the Personal 9.1 ISO from suse.com at my friends' house cause they have a cable modem. I burned it onto the cd incorrectly as a single ISO file instead of an image. When I figured that out, I unpacked the iso with IsoOpen and burned that to a cd. It does not boot and since I am new to Linux, I don't know what to do. I have run Knoppix 3.3 from cd so I know my BIOS is set right. Any help besides reburning the cd from the source file? (which I will do eventually)

I have had good luck when burning an ISO w/ Nero and using a fairly low burn speed.

Sounds like a problem with the CD. Try burning it with Nero without unpacking it. Nero should be able to just open the ISO file and know what you want to do.

Did you simply unpack the files and write those files to the CD?

If so, then you did it wrong agian... You burn the ISO, the ISO contains more than the files, it also contains other metadata that specifiies the type of CD it is, if bootable and wut not...
