did the install detect the card? is there a module loading in /etc/modules.conf ?

to see if the card is configured as a device, run this:
    cardctl config

If it was detected and loaded drivers, there will be resources assigned to it.
You can also run lsmod to see if a module for your card was loaded (you'll have to know what driver goes with it).

    If it is, try this:
    ifconfig -a

that will give you a list of all the detected network interfaces. Mine lists lo, eth0 (built in Intel Etherexpress pro 100), and eth1 (wireless).

It's possible that you don't have a configuration script for the wireless card - I had to do that manually, since I didn't have the card installed when I loaded linux.
